Hair that is exposed to sun and heat is thirsty. It needs nourishment. It needs protection. Best used on towel-dried hair as a preparation for your daily styling regimen, but if you are a pool and beach goer, this can be your best friend. After swimming, rinse your hair with tap water to help rid the pool’s chemicals. Towel dry, and then add a few bursts of Elixir 11 and massage through your hair as you lay out. Okay, your hair is green. Now what?
It happens to the best of our blondes who love their pool time and hot tubs. The chlorine used to keep pools and spas their beautiful blue mixes with the golden tones in hair creating a greenish hue that is not desirable. With that, “chlorine green” is not only an indicator of your hair being “stained,” but this caustic chemical can erode your hair’s cuticle which can lead to a “slimy” texture when wet, extreme tangling, dryness, color fading, and potential substructure damage.

Even though we find we enjoy a more casual style during the summer season, many still utilize their hot tools to give their style some pizzaz. However, regular use of your hot tools, coupled with summer’s sun, can wreak havoc if you do not take the proper precautions. We recommend using our Thermal Styling Spray to protect your hair from the extreme heat from your favorite appliances. A light mist will add glide to your tools, protect it from the heat, and because it helps boost the function of your tools, you will not need to hold your hot tools on the hair as long.
